The Engineering for Climate Extremes Partnership (ECEP) is a partnership between Industry, Commerce, Indigenous Peoples, and other Societal Groups, Academia and Government, and facilitated by NCAR. A feature of ECEP is the manner in which basic and applied research and development is conducted in direct collaboration with the end user. Partners benefit from a direct relationship with NCAR, by directing ECEP's research program, while also gaining knowledge from the network of collaborations with other members of ECEP. For more information, view a 5-minute introduction to ECEP by James Done, ECEP's science lead, Ignite-style.
ECEP's vision is to strengthen society’s resilience to weather and climate extremes.
