Mari Tye

Mari Tye, ECEP® Lead
Mari Tye is a Civil Engineer, with 10 years experience in flood mitigation and sustainable drainage, highways design, ports and harbor design, construction supervision, and master planning for large-scale developments. She is currently a researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research specializing in the statistics of extreme and high impact weather and climate events. Before studying for her PhD related to changes in extreme rainfall over the UK at Newcastle University, she held positions at CH2M and AECOM, and briefly volunteered in Uganda as a water resource engineer. Mari holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and French from Nottingham University, is a Chartered Engineer with in the UK’s Institution of Civil Engineers (PE Equivalent); Lincensed Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and has a PhD in Statistical Climatology.
